Before You Attend

We know it can be scary visiting a new church for the first time. It may even remind you of your first day of school or your first date.  It can be very awkward.  We want to help you break the ice by possibly answering a few of your questions about our church.

Do we have a dress code?

We don’t have a “dress code” at the Bridge.  Each week in our services you will see people in shorts and t-shirts and others wearing suits or dresses.  We want you to feel free to come however you are the most comfortable.

How do I know where to go?

At each of our doors you will be welcomed by one of our greeters.  They will be able to answer any of your questions about where things are located in our facility.  There are also maps located throughout the building.

Do we have childcare?

We have childcare available in all of our services for kids 0-5 years of age.  Our nursery is directed by quality workers who have been working at our church for several years.  At each nursery, you will be given a pager that will buzz if your child needs you.  This way you don’t have to worry about them and can enjoy the service.

On Sunday mornings we have classes for children of all ages in the children’s area of our church.  Your children will be actively involved in a creative and entertaining Bible based program with our “His Kids” program.

What service is right for me?

We have three different Sunday morning services that you can be involved in.  Our first service is from 8:15 -9:15 am.  This service is one of our more traditional services.  Our second service is from 9:30-10:30 am.  This is a contemporary service with more modern guitar driven music and lighting.  Our third service is from 10:45-12:00 pm.  This service is a progressive service that includes the choir and orchestra.  Once you are seated you will have time to watch our preview slides or read our church bulletin.  We also have a communication card located around each seat that will give you the opportunity to share any prayer requests with our church staff as well as a place for you to sign up for our mailing list and more information on the ministries of our church.  Our services usually includes a time of singing, greeting each other and a relevant Bible message from our pastor.

Our Sunday evening service is from 6:30-8:00 pm and is designed for all age groups with time for family prayer at the end.

What happens on Wednesdays?

On Wednesdays we have two services to choose from.  Our traditional service meets in the chapel from 7:15-8:30 pm.  This is a time to sing hymns and enjoy Bible preaching with our Associate Pastor Kenneth McGee.  We also have a contemporary service called “Drive” that meets in the Sanctuary from 7:30-8:30 pm with Associate Pastor Rob McClure.  We also have several adult discipleship classes that you can be a part of in the End Zone Building.  For more information on other Wednesday activities, please click the links below

Do we have small groups?

We use the model of small classes that study the Bible each Sunday.  Classes meet during the 9:30 am and 10:45 am services.  We also have several fellowship groups that meets at various times during the week. For a list of these classes click here.

How do I get involved in a ministry?

If you believe God wants you to be a part of The Bridge, we believe you should serve in some sort of ministry to fulfill your role in the Body of Christ.  For a list of our ministries and the person you should contact for more information click here.

What do we believe?

1. The Bible is inspired by God and is perfect with no errors.  It is God’s design and plan for mankind.

2. There is only One True God–revealed in three persons...Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity).

3. Jesus is God.  He left heaven and became a man to be our example and empathize with us.

4. Mankind is broken and attracted to sin.  Through sin mankind brought evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.

5. Jesus suffered and died on the cross so we could have a relationship with God.  This relationship is initiated by God through His grace and received by mankind through faith.

6. Water baptism and communion should be offered on a regular basis.  1) Water Baptism by immersion after becoming a Christian. (2) Communion (the Lord's Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ's suffering and death for our salvation.

7. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is available to all believers, after salvation to help them tell others about Jesus and live a godly life.

8. The first physical sign that someone has been Baptized in the Holy Spirit is that they will speak in an unlearned language.

9. Christians should grow in their relationship with Christ.  Being holy is a lifelong process of overcoming sin and temptation and becoming like Jesus.

10. The church has three purposes on this earth 1) To reach out to sinners with the good news of what Jesus has done for them. 2) To be the representation of Jesus on this earth. 3) To bless God with our lives.

11. God has place ministers in the church to help the church carry out these purposes.

12. Healing for sickness and disease is provided through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.

13. Jesus will return in the future to take Christians, both those who are alive and those who have already died, to heaven to be with Him forever.

14. That Jesus will return to the earth in the future and rule the earth for 1,000 years.

15. There will be a final judgment for those who have rejected Christ.  These will be confided to the lake of fire for eternity

16. God will create a perfect new earth and the city of heaven will rest on it.  All people, of all time, who have accepted Him as their savior will live with Him for eternity.
